Proposed Project #4 - (5) New Vocational Training Centers

These centers provide vital training in sewing that assists women below the poverty level to sustain their families by keeping them from dying of hunger and being placed under heavy financial pressures. There is a tremendous demand for these skills as textile/garment making is one of India’s major industries. Over 1500 students have been trained to date.


Physical Need: Capital for sewing equipment, materials, and packaging for distribution.


Intellectual Need: Funds to pay for sewing trainers and sewing educational materials.


Physical and Intellectual Impact: local ministry and income for the owners and their families.
