Basic Utility Vehicle (BUV) - Western Ghana

 

Joseph And Stella Otsin are Ghanaian evangelists in the Kumasi, Ghana area and benefit from BUVs by being able to travel into village areas most vehicles can not reach, transport materials to various regions for church construction projects as well as creating businesses for the transport of agricultural products and shea nuts for market.

 

Physical need was for start-up capital for the vehicles, operating expenses, and shipping of BUVs.


Physical Impact: Local funds for BUVs, local ministry, more jobs, and income for families.

Bread Making Business - Kumasi, Ghana

Stella Otsin is a Pastor in Western Ghana and saw the need to help local Ghanaian women who want to start bread making businesses to be able to earn incomes and provide for their families.

 

Physical Need: Capital for baking equipment, materials, and packaging for distribution.

 

Physical Impact: local ministry and income for the owners and their families.

 

INVESTMENT:  $2,900 Project Completed

Sewing Business - Kumasi, Ghana area

Stella Otsin is a Pastor in Western Ghana and saw the need to help a local Ghanaian women who wanted to start sewing businesses to be able to earn incomes and provide for their families.

 

Physical Need: Capital for sewing equipment, materials, and packaging for distribution.

 

Physical Impact: local ministry and income for the owners and their families.

Literacy Training in Ankaase, Ghana Reading Town Library

The need for additional literacy training in the Ankaase, Ghana for the local school children was identified utilizing the Reading Town Library located in Ankaase, Ghana.

 

Intellectual Need: Reading literature and team of educators to travel from the United States, come in, and offer additional literacy training.

 

Intellectual Impact: Local ministry and increased literacy skills were the result.

 

INVESTMENT: $22,400 Project Completed

Medical Clinic - 900 patients treated in Anwiafutu, Ghana

The need for medical attention is always high in the villages of Ghana.  A medical team consisting of medical doctors and nurses from both the United States and Ghana teamed together to offer assessments, treatments, and counsel.

 

Physical (Health) Need: Medical assessments, medication distribution, treatments, and counsel.

 

Physical (Health) Impact: Medical treatment, nutrition/health training, and medication distribution.

 

INVESTMENT: $34,200 Project Completed

Sewing Design Project

Ghanaian  evangelists couple in the Central region benefited from equipment and training start sewing design business.

 

Physical Need was a design sewing machine; apprenticeship training for wife to implement and materials for ornamental lace/trimmings for dresses.

 

Physical Impact: Newly planted missionaries to become more self-sufficient and support evangelism with local church.


INVESTMENT: $2400 Project completed.

Eben 2 Farms--Phase I

Ebenezer Ayesu (a Fullbright scholar,studying for PhD at IU) and Ebenezer Ohene Atua have formed a partnership to create this poultry farm business. Pictured is Ebenezer Atua going over business plans.


Physical need: Structures in place and require funds to purchase chicks, feed, vitamins and antibiotics.


Physical Impact: Provide personal income and help the needy in their local congregation.


INVESTMENT: $7500 to implement start-up plan. Project Completed!
